Effective midnight Oct.1st Comcast customers can not receive MSG and MSG+ !!!
Checking CH.1251 this am shows a message about it :(
Bummer because not only do I follow the Islanders and Knicks but also the MLS team the Red Bulls
, hoping they resolve it sooner rather than later

Nope, March 31, 2002 it was switched for YES.
I live in the NYC market, Danbury, CT we've always had MSG/MSG+ like someone said for Knicks, Ranger, Islanders, MLS soccer.
In 2002 the Yanks created their own Network - YES so MSG was pretty irrelevant for a while but has been covering more in recent years. Giants programming not games in on MSG. Jets are on SNY and Nets on YES. MSG never shut down. Hoping they resolve the carriage dispute before the regular season games start.

Most of CT dropped MSG in favor of YES. They didn't want to pay both.
