Mult-Switch Location

I have a client adding DTV service to his home next week and I would like to have the multi-switch located in an equipment closet in the home (as apposed to basement, etc.).

Is there any issue in terms of where that switch is located?

Depends of the level of effort needed to run the wires. As long as it is a dry, cool place it does not matter.

Just make sure that all four lines from the dish are connected to the multiswitch. This assumes a non-SWM install.
