What's a 111?
missed this oneWhat's a 111?
Welp, it has more front buttons than a 1000, which if I recall had none...The cheapest all plastic, no composite output $50 receiver they could make. Came out around 2004 just before they started leasing equipment. They weren't around long.

The Hopper Duo is a huge waste of moneyIf you can't get a hopper 3 then dish just isn't worth it!!! I don't know what in the hell charlie was thinking with the hopper duo a 2 tuner box and the hopper with sling a 3 tuner box. To hear what people have said about those two boxes there slower than someones dead grandmother..
you mean this pile of crap right? It was a cheapened 2700 which also didn't have a door, the only difference I could tell was the lack of buttons. How much could they have saved? They were so cheap that even with the buttons there were only 2, channel up and down. For power you had to push them both at the same time! lol

You mean the 1000 instead of 2700, or maybe mistyped and meant a 2nd 3700 instead of 2700. I don't think there was a 2700. To my recollect the 3700 was the "standard" IR-only model whilst the 4700 was an up-charge UHF/IR that could also do VCR timers (successors to the "O.G." 3000, 4000 & 5000- 4700 replaced both 4000 and 5000 and was later software-upgraded to 4900). The 1000 was like a later-added cheaper "stripper" model for customers who wanted to pay less or didn't pass credit or sometimes for extension boxes or for commercial headend. I just stayed away from them. Didn't like it on first sightI installed hundreds of those fine quality items!
At the time Dish would offer 1 free receiver (3700) with one year agreement, that 2700 was an additional $100 + install and upgrade to dual LNB. Customer could also upgrade to a 4700 for the primary for additional charge, it had a UHF remote.
622 was/is an HD Duo-user 2-tuner DVR and silver in color. Their first mass-distribution HD DVR. Maybe some could still be running? I believe it was superceded by the (black) 722, which had maybe a larger drive. You may be thinking of 612, which was/is a Solo HD DVR with 2 tuners and was black. Guess they saved a few bucks or something in not including the dual-user capability. The 622 and 722 models could be set up for independent use by different users even though there was only the 1 box- "TV2" (as DiSH called it) could run to another room on coax, got its own remote, and its own dedicated tuner (when set up that way) to watch or record without interference from the user at "TV1". But TV2 got no input in HD, that was the rub. It was a modulated SD signal on coax. The 612 could also send out (in SD) to other TVs on coax but could not independently select channels, recordings, etc.my favorite dish receiver was back in the Solo days I want to say vip 622 but it was black, I absolutely despise the whole Hopper system, always have always will. I prefer all tv have there only box own times and own dvr recordings.
