Apparently there is now legislation in Congress that will nail OTA radio stations with a "performace tax" that is similar to the fees that Internet radio and Sirius/XM have had to pay for a while now ... the locals stations in my area have been running countless ads opposing this, and there is a national website up as well:

I just want to note the complete silence of the NAB when these fees were imposed on non-OTA music providers, and how now they are so deeply offended when the fees are going to be extended to them. Frickin' hypocrites.
