cyberham began a thread in the FTA forum about a livestream of NASA 4K UHD. I thought I would begin a thread here as well, since it's really an IPTV discussion.

To make a long story short, there's a guy in Eugene, OR who setup a C-band satellite dish to receive NASA UHD. He then transcodes the video for livestreaming. I'm assuming this is sanctioned by NASA since he got his IRD from Harmonic. However, it's important to note that this stream does NOT originate from NASA directly.

Anyway, here is a *very* extensive thread about how he accomplishes this and how to receive the various flavors of the stream.

Oops, forgot to post the actual link to the stream: http://endpnt.com:8000/nasa-uhd.ts

Copy/paste that link into VLC or Potplayer and enjoy.

I got the following warning in Firefox when trying to access the stream.

Yep, you can force allowing the download but since, although not likely, it technically it could be tampered with I'm not so sure I want to. ;)
