Nascar 2009

They did the same thing last week.
They ALWAYS take the WINNING car.

Are you sure that wasn't an article from LAST week ?

Ok Jimbo. Yes they did the same as last week, and every week, and took the winning(Stewart) car, also to add, random car/s. This week they took four cars to the R&D center. The winner (Stewart), a random car (Kurt Busch), and the cars of Johnson and Martin (again). It wasn't last weeks article. It was todays news.

Your right, I was thinking that Johnson had won this weekend, but it was Stewart, my bad ...

NASCAR going to Regular Start times next year

NASCAR going to Regular Start times next year...

East coast races will start at 1 pm and West Coast at 3 pm
With a few exceptions.

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar/cup/news/story?id=4539808"]NASCAR sets standard green flag times for '10 - ESPN[/ame]

What was worse was when you wanted to Record the race and it said it started at 1 and did not seperate the race from the pre race that actually started at 2

That was only on Fox, but yeah it's annoying too.

Someone in NASCAR needs to wake up. It's about time they did this. They also need to do the following.

1. Saturday Night Racing. Forget about Sunday during Football Season. They won't win that ratings war . They should know better.

2. One Network all year. Look at the last 6 years and see how many networks have covered NASCAR. They need to sign a contract with one network and one network only.

How is your second point any different from when they used to race on many networks back in the 80's and 90's? I remember races on ESPN, CBS, ABC, TBS, and TNT.

Jayski:

Reutimann's time disallowed: #00-David Reutimann, who was second fastest in qualifying, had his time disallowed after the rear shock was determined to have a gas level too high. He will now start the race in 42nd. No other penalties are expected.(

His interview aftr he qualified was funny. Here is his quote.

"We weren't that good in practice," Reutimann said. "The guys made some really big changes to the car."

:eek::dev:shh

Ha Ha, really big changes, like cheating. LOL

yeah but at least recently its gotten better

1st batch of races on Fox
6 races on TNT
then the next races up to Richmond on ESPN
last 11 on ABC

better than it use to be where you'd have Fox & FX carry some races and depending on the week it may change and when NBC & TNT had the races but one week was TNT, next week NBC then back to TNT etc

Only way I see one network is cable....Fox cant carry all the races due to NFL and MLB. But it should be 1st half Fox 2nd half ABC

Actually NOT cheating.

The team had a new gauge to measure the gas pressure.

The new gauge was faulty and gave a wrong reading on the gas pressure in the shock.

MWR asked NASCAR to compare their gauge to MWR's. NASCAR found that the MWR gauge was indeed faulty and the ONLY penalty was to move the car to the back of the field.

MWR was allowed to fix the gas pressure in the shock.

Move along, nothing to see here.
