National Geographic HD

Is anyone else not getting the HD Version of NatGeo on Free Preview? I have the SD Channel, but HD is not mapped down and it is in Red on the higher listing.

same thing happening to me...don't know why they wouldn't put that on preview....

Same. I only noticed it for the first time last evening and watched / recorded the program about the search for the Japanese supersubs. (Saw the last half of it in primetime and decided I wanted to see it all so set it to record at 2 AM.)

I did notice that the SD (at least that show) is being rendered in a side-bar, letterbox form that when you expand it with the controls on the remote it exactly fits the 16 x 9 format. I like that! And the PQ was great for SD. (Size and quality comparable to what I sometimes see on IFC.)

I'm not sure, but I don't believe the HD counterpart of any free preview channel is ever turned on for the preview...

I may be wrong, someone else may chime in...
