About half the NG-HD content is SD still, but it's still a worthwhile channel, and adding it was a "big deal" for Dish.

I don't see what was absurd about Sean's comment. particularly since we are talking about channels that do not even exist yet; and that many HD channels do a lot of SD upconverts still. Only so much material in HD to fill a 24h channel.
