NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Well, looks the best was saved for last.

UNLV nearly blows it against Iowa St. only to win it in OT 34-31

Fresno escapes Toledo in Double OT 55-54.....give Toledo credit for going for 2.

Yep. Good games tonight made up for slow games earlier.

Congrats to all who's teams came out on top. Good night.

Toledo tried to pull a Mike Shanahan, but failed.

Nonetheless, a bad call- I'd have kicked the extra point.

This was NOT a Shanahan call.
Toledo Tom does this stuff alot .... It makes it fun, except when it doesn't work.
I've seen the Rockets go an entire game without punting,he just calls another play and remarkably , alot of it works ...
Toledo is also the Home of the "Bubble Screen" that they run to death.

Personally, I figured that Toledo would get blown out by Fresno State

Good game non the less, lots of fun, OVER 1000 yards offense tonight.

Ugh. That is a good list Bill. I guess upon further review, Auburn should be the first to make that list again once any of those teams slip up in the near future....

On another note, I DO think BYU is legit.

I have Ohio St. at 13 and Auburn at 14

Here are the latest rankings:

AP, coaches' Top 25 rankings - College football - NBCSports.com

Vandy in the top 25- I believe in the Commodores!

Missouri drops- what a susprise. We all know voters are in love with the almighty SEC.
(I don't like how every SEC game with ranked teams is treated like it's a game of the century)

Penn State getting better and better- I see either them or Wisconsin in Pasadena.
(Buckeye fans, I have two words- Outback Bowl.)

I am not buying Texas as a real great team- they've fattened up on bad opponents
(Unlike Auburn, at least they can actually score points). Let's see what happens when they hit their four-week minefield- Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas Tech.

South Florida and Wake Forest are the best bets to give their respective conferences BCS pride come January.

Well that hope didn't happen. Go Dawgs! :D 27-10.

Why should the BCS hope Georgia gets beaten?

Too many SEC teams, not enough slots for them.

The Pac-10, ACC and Big East are now 1 slot teams in the BCS, and only USC is in the top 12.

Now the BCS better hope Wisconsin or Penn State stay undefeated.

Like I expected, 6 teams in the top 25 are from Non-BCS conference schools.

Speaking of overrated, Texas Tech is ranked 10th thanks to beating up on 4 cupcakes.

The SEC logjam will take care of itself once they start playing each other. Alabama-Georgia next week should be a doozy.
