Care to count the teams to squash your rant? Yes, it's still low for the Big East, but it's not nearly as bad as your "statistics" would indicate.

And I still disagree.

The ACC: "Where the Big East's middling team (BC) can compete for our championship!"

:haha:haha:haha:haha

#6. should be NAIA
the #7. should be Big East :D:up

Oklahoma will beat TT by 40 points this year. The Sooners are always good. Forget about the debacle in the bowl game. It didn't even count. TT only beat OU last year because the Sooners QB got hurt. This year it's in Norman and you know OU will be looking for revenge. You also know that Stoops is not afraid to run up the score on opponents to send a message. That game will get ugly and fast.

100% agree. Bradford will rub it in on TT

The ACC is FAR worse than the Big East.

The Absolutely Crappy Conference hasn't had a true title contender since Florida State was in its prime.

However, the Seminoles are past their prime; ditto for Miami.

The Big East has teams that are capable of winning now; the Absolutely Crappy Conference still acts like it was 1993.

Since the BCS was formed, the Big East has won six bowls and a national title; the ACC has one ONE BCS game since it was formed!

6.Big East-107.

Curious, do you have this info by school ?
How about the last 10-15 years, instead of ALL TIME, last 10-15 is more relevent.

Jimbo

Pac 10 will get another OOC test early this year.
Tennessee @ UCLA on Monday Sept 1st.

This is an interesting game.

Normally, I'd say Tennessee in a cakewalk, but Ainge is gone, and Meachem left, etc.

This is a real toss-up- two teams who have to replace some of their better players.

Notice which conference is missing from this list? Hmmm? (OK, the AllCupcakeConference is too, but not for long with FSU's academic problems)

The following institutions are currently on probation by the NCAA in one or more sports:

Florida International University (through 2008)
Middle Tennessee State University (through 2010)
Mississippi State University (through 2008)
Ohio State University (through 2009)

All Cupcake Conference?

That's good, but you would have been better off using that when Florida State was Godzilla and the other teams were Tokyo (1992-2000).

I prefer Absolutely Crappy Conference.

Doesn't look like the Pac-10 is on that list either.

Yeah as jwfgeol pointed out above those numbers reflect status at the conclusion of the 2007 season. Nothing there about all time.

Numbers were based on the 53 man rosters of all NFL teams.

David,

Do you share my thoughts on the ACC, or are you going to give them a free pass?

They have no excuses in the BCS- one win since it was first formed.
