Betcha they find 'no wrong doing' in it's corrupt little world...when it comes how THEY investigated the U and the Shapiro case.

The NCAA announced it uncovered "an issue of improper conduct within its enforcement program that occurred during the University of Miami investigation" and is launching a external review of the enforcement program.

An audibly angry NCAA president Mark Emmert called the issue "a shocking affair." The review is expected to take seven-to-10 days. Miami will not receive a notice of allegations until after the NCAA finishes looking at itself.

they've F'ed up this whole thing and screwed Miami the last couple of years. Time to stop this BS....

Correct. We shall see what the so-called sanctions are NOW....

Geez, to a certain extent, it sounds like the NCAA screwed the pooch and had it in for th U...

UNCLUDING Nevin Shapiro's attorney working FOR the NCAA in this investigation and having GIVING access to documents the NCAA was not supposed to have.

NCAA is the most corrupt thing out there and they need to be gone and I say the death penalty for the NCAA :)

It's amazing that every other sports league in America gets called in front congress, except for the NCAA and its tax exempt status. They're tephlon, no matter what person or school they screw, nothing ever happens to them.

HOW do you employ the lawyer of someone involved in an investigation?! At most schools, that is considered "lack of institutional control"'mm

The NCAA has over stepped thier bounds in MANY situation recently ...

Technically they had no reason to do ANYTHING with Penn State, that was a Criminal investigation, which it in NO WAY NCAA jurisdiction.

you got to thank that lawyer for sending a report of her expenses to the NCAA :D . she's dumb but exposed what many of us already knew. nah nah wait a second... there's nothing wrong with using shapiros lawyer to help with your investigation. ;)

I have never liked the way that they punish the school itself a lot of times when the players and coaches can leave and then pursue other ventures with no punishment.

Who do you think funds political campains? As far as am concern, looking at the financial numbers the NCAA and universities brings in during the course of a year, the athletes should get a taste of the pie as well. Am not saying pay them 100k, but a modest 20-30k during a school year doesnt sound unreasonable while talking into account how much they generate...besides not everyone on the teams are on a full paid scholarship.
Cheers, K

I have been saying this for YEARS! Not as much as you stated, but something....

Now comes word the VP of enforcement APPROVED the payments and adding of Shapiro's attorney.

if they persist in handing out further punishment than what the university already gave itself, i believe a lawsuit would be appropriate don't you think? end this already. so many south florida kids signing elsewhere today like bama. even freaking vanderbilt!!! enough damage has been done imo. golden has been coaching this team with handcuffs on and its not going to get easier anytime soon for this guy. :/

And with all the NCAA B.S. and all of the for certain bad mouthing from other coaches recruiting in South Florida and beyond... Miami STILL got a recruiting class ranked in the top 25 nation wide. Coach Al Golden has done an AMAZING job is creating a winning culture from what I have seen, read and heard.

Apparently, the NCAA isn't saying that the school didn't break any rules, just that they themselves may have made mistakes in the investigation....
