need help with remote

i have a echostar 301,and i went by the directions for programming remote to operate my tv (hittachi 54") ok it worked, it turned tv on/off ect. but now it wont operate my 301 reciever at all. how can this be fixed ? is there anyway to reset the remote?

never mind!!!i removed the batteries yesterday after it happened then posted tonight after posting i thought ill try it again!!! (how stupid of me) evidently by pulling batteries out for a day resets it,although it still runs my tv also. wierd

Did you remember to press the SAT button before trying to operate the receiver?
