Hi guys!!!

I have a fortec 786NA that i purchased from sadoun a few years ago. I still have the factory firmware. I'm pointed to Galaxy 18 at 123. Which previously was 10R. My receiever however still has the tp's for 10R. Is there a loader or a bin that anyone know of that will atleast make my fortec somehow up to date lol.

Thanks guys!!!

the transponders stayed the same...all that changed was the sat name....so just rename it if you want :)

Normally, you could expect to find the ability to change TP frequencies and satellite names within the menu system of the receiver.

Not exactly relevant, but somewhat telling: http://www.satelliteguys.us/free-air-fta-discussion/59936-fortec-786na-how-add-satellite.html

It looks like Fortec never released updates nor PC software for this box.

User manual here: http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Fortec-Star/Receivers/9-userguide.doc

Which does seem to indicate, on page 17-18, that editing TP information is possible. Not owning one, I cannot verify it works.

If the name does not bother you, just leave it as is.

To add new transponders, try the NIT search. Otherwise, just enter each transponder separately, then do a scan again.

I'm the same way, I edited all my satellite names so that the location is part of the name, for example "123 Galaxy10R"
