I just wish there was another tyupe of game besides just killing each other. Just to play with a "real purpose" for example Capture the Flag, I know, I know Halo 2 changed me but I sometimes get bored of playing the same type of game.

I hear you 100%...it seems these developers are all chasing Halo et al. I'd love to see a little more, no, a LOT more variety in the games--but they're so expensive to develop anymore that I'm sure "the suits" demand a deliverable that's a proven gameplay formula that the market will support.

If only so many didn't flock to the same type of gameplay. It bores me too.

It's like sitcoms and proceedural cop/lawyer/doctor shows--that's 80% of prime time television and it makes me yawn.
