New customer but need to cancel DirecTV

I think there is a 7 day trial period, but I have also heard that you can cancel within 21 or 30 days. You are better off calling DirecTV and asking a CSR.
 
In my state it's like 3 days others may be different.After that DirecTV will tell you a prorated amount to buy out your contract.But you should call them and discuss your situation with them as everyones situation is not the same.Good Luck!:)

I signed up for D* back in January and was told at that time I would have 30 days as a trial period and could cancel without penalty within those 30 days. I have been happy with D* so I didn't have to try out the 30 day escape clause.
