So I took the initiative today and ordered DirecTV. Quite impressed with the price at first and I'm sure the QoS will be just as good.
Anyway, looking about Lyngsat I discovered that at the 101 there's a nice bird called AMC 4 which has a couple of FTA Albanian channels. Top Channel and Top News. Being Albanian, I'm obviously interested.
I have figured out that I cannot get FTA channels with the DTV receiver. I will need to get another one, which is fine.
So my question is, can I use the same DTV dish to get the FTA AMC 4 channels?
If so, besides the FTA receiver, what else would I need?
I am also assuming I would need to change the positioning of the dish.
I've had FTA satellite before... in the early 90s. I was a teenager then but I was very curious so I used to play with it and I have been able to lock on to a few signals. So at best I would consider my skills low in the amateur range. But I am eager to learn.
