I currently am "moved" to Baton Rouge. I am in the Monroe area. 77 is not cool. Dish had better be ready to absorb some cost because Direct is looking good with the locals coming real soon.

I will not move back to Monroe until I can figure out what I havr to do to get my locals in HD.

You know, I think there is a disadvantage to moving back to our 'home'. With Baton Rouge, we can set OTA timers on the Monroe locals and guarantee the sat tuners are free.

I read in another thread that when you have locals via the satellite that it will use them to record first and then your OTA with no way to prioritize which one it would use.

I frequently record on OTA, so I can watch other stuff on the satellite. If that nugget is true, I will stay in Baton Rouge with my 1000.2 or maybe move to Shreveport. I get great signal on that spot, while my Baton Rouge spot is only around 29.

If you set the timer to record on OTA then it is an OTA timer. It will not switch to satellite, at least not that I have found. Not sure about DishPass as I don't use that.

Thanks, Digi... He was probably talking about Dish Pass. I don't use that either. As a matter of fact, I had forgotten it existed.

I wonder if I 'move' back if I get a free dish? Probably not. If I do move, I'll just buy a 1K4 and install it.

do what i did, bypass ditch and contact the stations.

thats how i found out there is no plan, and there are no negotiations at this time

but there is with D*
