There's nothing wrong with the old 20.1 remotes in fact I got 2 of those and like 4 of the old remotes that would come with a 311 or wtv

Why don't you have Directv send you a replacement receiver?

Anyways I put the hdd from my hopper into the hr44 and its working now.
