New iPad announcement coming October 22nd?

Forbes is announcing today that Apple will announce the release of the iPad 5, new retina iPad Mini and a new 13" iPad Maxi may be in the works as well.

13" sounds quite interesting. The better to watch Hopper iPad downloads with. But I sure hope they don't call it "Maxi."

I wonder if they could go 13" within current dimensions by just reducing bezel. That seems like too huge a gain to be for that. Time will tell, but I'm not sure bigger is the way to go unless the dimensions aren't too much bigger.

A bigger battery to power a bigger display would not be hand-friendly.
Wonder how many of these devices are desk-mounted, making a tablet questionable.

If they were to get a larger screen in the same size tablet as the current iPad it would be nice, but I find the current iPad kind of heavy now, and if they went even bigger it would be too unwieldy.
