If both TV's aren't to be used at the same time to watch HD then you ought to stick with what you have. You can wire up HD and SD to TV2 and just switch between the input for the times when you NEED to watch 2 different shows.

I try to save money and that's what I'd do, but you may have different desire/setup where that's not the best idea.

You could try it for free by connecting a red-blue-green rca cable or even the red-white-yellow cable between TV2 and the receiver output for TV1. As you have already been told, you'll see the same picture on your second TV as on your first TV when you are viewing HD on both. But, if you also have the coax cable running from the TV2 output of the receiver to the second TV, you can watch a different program in SD.

Then If you don't like that, you can look into another receiver/switch/wiring/etc.
