New Mini-Menu Tip

I like the new mini-menu (the one when you are in a full screen display and press UP displays a menu of 9 channels choices you can set). I was trying to set the DirecTV News Mix channel as such a choice. When you tune to that channel (352) you are not in full screen and can not access the mini-menu to set 352 as a choice onto the mini-menu. However, when you will press EXIT and then UP when on the DirecTV News Mix channel, you can get to the mini-menu.

Its actually called Quick Tune.

You can also hit the up arrow before one of the mix channels is selected (yellow box) to get the Quick Tune menu.

I like the Quick Tune. I wish it could list more than 9 channels, though. It just seems so much faster than using the guide, which makes its name very appropriate.

I recall on our original Hughes receiver there was a feature called "turbo" tune that I really liked. Took a few more steps to program. Glad the newly acquired HR-22 has this feature restored.
