New Satellite @ 127W?

Found some info that says there is a NEW satellite headed for 127W? Anyone have any more info on when it will go in service?

We watch one channel there that I record and play back later. Was using my old S9 receivers but they kept locking up during the recording so I had to start recording with my Micro HD instead. I've read where others have had problems with that bird so I'm hoping I can get back to using my "older stuff" again once that new one is up and running.

Launched August 3rd, looks like the Ku band won't be for television/radio unfortunately:

As the article says, should be in service later this year (probably within the next two months or so).

Thanks Keith. What we watch on that bird is C band and that's about the same info I found but I was wondering if someone else with more experience than me had different info than what I found.

Lyngsat shows Galaxy 37/Horizons 4 at 148.0W with no transponders. I guess the satellite is on the move to 127W.

Yeah I posted like 3 weeks ago, the Horizon 4 will be in service by the end of the month. it is still in testing stage at 148.00
