Hello, I am trying to switch to DTV.
I was signing online and choose the Genie, only have 1 HDTV.
But the Genie has the Advanced recevier fee of $25 more a month, which is just too much.
As what I see that fee is for the HD and the DVR...

So the question is: The $25 fee is in all receivers?
Others is less?

Because I still want the HD and DVR...

The $25 is on any account with HD-DVR I think. I think they might even apply it to just an HD or a SD DVR account now.

Keep in mind there is a $10 credit toward that fee for the first two years.

That $25 includes the whole home dvr fee of $3. If you don't have it then you don't pay it!

If you watch Fox regularly, since Sinclair owns your Fox station, I would wait until March 1st in case the dispute does happen. no. If you have a SD DVR its only $10 for the DVR fee

If all you have is Genie they shouldn't bill you the $3 whole home DVR fee. As noted you will get a $10 HD credit

Wasn't sure if it changed when the went to the $25 advanced receiver fee for new customers.

nope. When I did a dummy order to help out the poster who wanted to buy his own receiver because he didnt want the installer to do it the order showed just a $10 fee for a SD DVR
