NFL 2008-09 Season

Only ONE post for this game... wow.

The NFL Network's last two games (Broncos/Browns, Jets/Pats) got more posts.

ramy was away from his computer, cybok0 was working (I think), and I had a friend watching the game with me, which beats pecking on a keyboard. :)

Judging from the size of the crowd at that game last night, I wonder if any Steelers fans anywhere watched the game. No way that matchup would have that many no-shows in Cincinnati (even with the same weather), and the Bengals suck.

What a bunch of wimps! ;)

CINCINNATI -- FBI officials said Friday they arrested a man who allegedly threatened to blow up the Cincinnati Bengals' stadium and other area landmarks.

Frederick Purvis, 42, is accused of sending e-mails to two local media outlets and to the FBI threatening Paul Brown Stadium, four bridges over the Ohio River, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, and an Indiana casino, FBI spokesman Mike Brooks said.

Brooks said Purvis was arrested Thursday at a hotel in Erlanger, Ky., near the airport. He was being held on federal charges of making bomb threats and distributing a bomb hoax. Brooks was expected to appear in court later Friday.

Purvis' father, also named Frederick, said his son has mental issues and is on medication. He said he doesn't believe his son really planned to carry out any threats.

"I don't think he could build a bomb if he wanted to," Purvis said. "I don't think there was any intent."

He said FBI agents came to his home Thursday evening to ask questions, but didn't provide much information on the charges against his son.

"I'm still in shock," the elder Purvis said.

Brooks said the son made threats in e-mails to WLW radio and WKRC television in Cincinnati, as well as to FBI headquarters in Washington. He declined to give other details.

did anyone place their votes for the probowl? if so, how many times did you vote?
i kind of find it ridiculous that so far the voting has 20 redskins starting in the probowl. there ain't that much talent in D.C.

The game was sold out, people come in late from tailgating.

At least most of the fans in our stadium isn't for the other team.

Lions 0-16 watch. Detroit got out to a 17-0 lead on the Bucs. They have now given up 28 unanswered points. These guys are just determined to lose every single game. :haha

Kansas City is getting KILLED by Buffalo.

Seriously, this is a team that almost beat the Jets and did beat Denver.

They should be challenging Detroit for 0-16 had they not sold their souls for a worthless win.
