Steelers remaining opponents:

Tomorrow isn't an easy win, but with a sweep of Baltimore and wins already over the Steelers and Browns it'd be Bengals first loss in the division, and they have a lot more 'should win' games than the Steelers do. With Miami, Baltimore twice and Green Bay, certainly no cake walk whereas the Bengals have already beaten Green Bay, and really has just Minnesota and San Diego to get by, and maybe the Jets. Otherwise they should win a majority of what's left.

Steelers / Ravens are always Classic games, could go either way, except for the fact that the Ravens are not as good as they were last year, currently struggling at 4-4.
Steelers should beat Miami and GB as long as they don't get bored.

HA HA. Cutler shows his true colors once again!! He just loves those RedZone picks..

He just had to show he was as good as Kyle Orton. Last QB to throw 5 picks?? KO.

Glad he's gone...........

Philly and Favre next.

Top 10/15 draft pick for us!!

Shanahan in Chicago next year?

Just goes to show that McDaniels knows more about football than ESPN talkinghead or fantasy football nerd.

All it shows is that Orton is a better fit in Denver and Cutler is a better fit in Chicago. With Orton they'd have never gotten back to the red zone to have a chance to win, while with Cutler they did (before he threw it to the wrong team... again). In Denver they needed someone to help manage their games, not a gunslinger, in Chicago they needed someone who can win them games, but sometimes like tonight he'll lose them if he doesn't have enough help. Poor offensive line play and WRs slipping leading to poor throws.

So was it a lot of interceptions or recvrs not going to the right place ?
I know it goes against Cutler regardless.

Cutler has done this more than once this year.
Farve has an issue with throwing picks, but he often will make up for it.
Does Cutler have this same mentality where he will ALWAYS throw picks at a high rate.
Was it this way in Denver for him ?

How does this have anything to do with ESPN ?:confused::confused::confused:
i guess he means how espn criticized the broncos for this move. hell i think we all did. but to be fair the bears dont have much to throw to either. and converting a kick returner into a wr doesn't work too often. same BS here in miami

First of all, Who said anything about the Steeler's Bengals being the "Game of the Week ?"

2nd, the Steelers have 2 losses but a combined total of 6 points, it's not like they were not in these games, 6 points and they could be undefeated.

Steelers are playing well and beat the Bengals.
Steelers have righted the ship since a slow start, they've won 5 straight.
You sound like you expect the Bengals to easily beat the Steelers, NOT gonna happen.

Steelers have a tough schedule as usual, actually LAST year was MUCH harder.

BENGALS will NOT win the division.

Um yeah!!!!!! No one cares about the game of the week???????? what does that mean????? um nothing!!!!

also, what is are bottom line here in sports????? To make the playoffs!!!! don't think so ---- The Ring is the Bottom line not statistical info about making the playoffs!!!!!!

Like Jimbo said, Steelers sched was way harder last year and the black and gold DO NOT need to be in Heinz Field to win!!!!! Last year they started off slow to and got smacked by Philly (who cares) So pick who you want and make up who you think the game of the week should be but don't forget to put a ring on the finger!!!! FYI 15-1 doesnt guarantee a ring!!!!

Since the world champs will probably only see either of these teams after beating Denver for the wild card game, it's unlikely they'll get a shot at both of them, so that rules out point number 2.

As for point number 1, the Patriots have been to the playoffs as many times as the Steelers have since 2000, and the Colts have been there more.

So yeah, this is the game of the week by a mile, and is the best modern rivalry. I don't think it really goes against the storied rivalries very well from other sports, the only reason they play each other what seems like every year is because they win their divisions a lot, and all of the division winners play each other every year (thus creating a tougher strength of schedule).

All the Bengals-Steelers game is this week is a chance for the Steelers to salvage some dignity after losing to the Bengals once already this season. Sure the Steelers looked good on Monday, they didn't look so good losing by 3 back to back weeks @ the Bengals and @ the floundering Bears. Even if the Bengals lose tonight they've probably still got the division wrapped up, their schedule is pretty easy compared to who the Steelers have coming up.

Both, I believe 2 picks were on WRs either not being where they should (Hester stopping his comeback short of the zebra rather than kept moving) or falling down (again, Hester). The other picks were rather absurd.

Actually in the regular season, it is 100% about making it in the playoffs. Then homefield advantage, in that order. Hence all the 'one game at a time' speeches you see/hear from players coaches. If you don't make the playoffs, nothing matters. The Super Bowl is certainly the goal of every season, but if you don't make the playoffs nothing matters. If you want to keep going to last year as why the Steelers have nothing to worry about, then great, they should beat the Bengals by 4 TDs and you have nothing to worry about. Except they've already lost to the Bengals, who lead the division. It's not last year anymore.

Are you serious ?
4 TD's, harley ....

Bengals are a much better team than they have been for quite some time and playing very well.
This should be a pretty good game. (3-7 points)

If the recent past is any indication, the winner of the Pats-Colts game will go deeper in the playoffs than the loser.

These teams have met every year since 2003, and the winner of the regular season game has gone deeper than the loser in the playoffs every year except 2005 (BOTH teams were eliminated in the divisional round).

2003- Patriots win the regular season matchup..........Pats win the Super Bowl, and Colts lose in the AFCCG (to Pats)

2004- Patriots win the RS matchup..............Pats win the Super Bowl, and Colts lose in divisional round (to Pats)

2005- Colts win the RS matchup............Pats lose in divisional round (to Broncos), and Colts lose in divisional round (to Steelers)

2006- Colts win RS matchup............Colts win the Super Bowl, and Pats lose in the AFCCG (to Colts)

2007- Pats win RS matchup...............Pats lose the Super Bowl (to Giants), and Colts lose in divisional round (to Chargers)

2008- Colts win RS matchup................Colts lose in wildcard round (to Chargers), and Pats miss playoffs

One of them will lose to the Steeler's in the playoffs !!! :D

Steelers have to get there first!

That's right, HDMM has determined that they won't make the playoffs.

Sure would be nice if the team could play with all thier players for a change.

They usually don't do as well when Palomalo is OUT.
They are playing defensivly good, but not great today.

Bengals D playing very well as expected.

I think this is the type of D that Bengals fan envisioned when Lewis came on board, 5 or so years ago (maybe 10, how long has he been there now ?)

Yaz,
I don't see a problem with the Steeler's getting to the playoffs, whether they win the division or not they should still have enough wins to make the playoffs.

When Palomolo goes out, it like when the Colts lose Bob Sanders.
They are the players that make the D* Tick.

Hopefully Troy is OK for next week, no word yet other than he won't be back today, that was in the 1st quarter ...
