NFL 2017-18 Season

It's ominous that they've given no indication since the Steeler's first release the day after of how well he's doing.
I don' think they wanted to say Anything in the beginning because no one really knew anything for sure, now that the critical first 48 hrs are past, I could see them commenting.
He definitely is improving ... or they would not have moved him to Pittsburgh.
I have read that he' moved all his limbs now, so that too is a good thing.

What should it be? He didn't complete the catch. He did the equivalent of taking your eyes off the ball and turning upfield and the ball bouncing off your hands.

NFL explains:

Ben says the bonheaded fake spike call came from the sideline. Overshadowed by people not understanding some of the most basic catch rules though (so many screaming 'made a football move' which has been irrelevant for more than a year)

That's the biggest crock, that was a touchdown. Pittsburgh outplayed the Patriots and they had that game stolen from them.

Technically, he caught the ball, turned up field and lunged over the line ... thus he should have been a runner ... had a runner done this, its a TD.
According to the nfl rules.

Someone said, how should it be ?
If he has control of the ball (which he did) and hits the line, its a TD, regardless of what happens after that ... just like it does in a runners position.

He was going to the ground to make the catch, he was never a runner, as he didn't complete the catch.

The NFL explanation is a semantic complaint. Ben completed a pass to his WR, as defined as someone throwing an catching the ball. He was falling to the ground though, so for it to be a completion he had to survive the ground, which they ruled he did not as evidenced by maybe some fingers under the ball and it contacting the ground.

It's too bad only one WR bothered to run a route on the play that resulted in the INT. Naturally the Pats were the most prepared team on the field, while Steelers stood around.

According to rule 63A in the NFL Rulebook:

A player is not allowed to score a touchdown at the end of a game to beat the Patriots, therefore, Steelers TE Jesse James’ catch was correctly ruled an incomplete pass.
:facepalm

WRONG ....
He caught the ball and TURNED to the goal line and fell over the line ...
He caught the ball, had full control of it when he crossed the goal line ... did not lose control at all till after the play should have been over, AFTER he hit the ground.
