In that case they would have to pay him for two years (unless there is a rule they don't have to pay him if he coaches in the NFL...not sure about that though) and he could take a job anywhere he wants without teams having to worry about compensation to the Steelers.Hard to say. Steelers own his right because he stepped down instead of having his contract terminated. A team that wants Tomlin will have to trade for him.
