Nielsen Ratings

Not sure if this belongs here but I dont know where else I would ask it. Feel free to laugh at me if this is a dumb question but...

I have Dish. When I record something to my DVR, does it count towards Nielsen ratings or do I actually have to be watching it at the original air date and time? And, if so, I have an antenna for local HD channels, does the same thing apply?​

In order to be counted in Nielsen ratings you have to participate in the Nielsen ratings. I participated in November. I was invited to participate over the phone, they send you a book to mark down all your programming for a week and sent me $5 for my trouble. DVR'd programming is accounted for by keeping track of when you watch it and the original air date in the book. It was actually a lot of work keeping track of every minute I watched tv. They even want to know when the TV is on and no one is watching. The book allowed tracking in 15 minute increments.
