No HD w/ H20 and slimline 5 lnb

Hi Guys,

I have neen using my H20 with an old 18x20 dish, and finally bought a slimline dish and 5lnb so I can get HD.

I installed and aimed the dish, and it was aimed fine, but seems to receive the same channels as before, no HD.
All the HD channels say "searching for satellite 771"

I checked and get 94% on 101, 100% on 110, and 100% on 119. Nothing on 99, 103 or 95.
These readings without any fine tuning, all from first bolt up. Not using a meter.
Hit the red reset button, but still nothing.

Am I aiming the dish wrong?

The dish is slightly misaligned. Double check the settings, especially for skew and elevation.
And make sure the mast is plumb.
The 99 and 103 sats are little tricky since the power from those are lower.
That dish won't receive 95.

BTW, did you change the dish type on the receiver?

You'll also need a BBC too and like said, change your sattelite settings

i have the bbc, tried several settings on the receiver

i will got on the roof with the cell phone and try and tune in 99 and 103.

Is the CA for your location California or Canada? If Canada, you may be out of the signal footprint for hd.

Oh yeah! I didn't see it until you mentioned it! Duh!

Did you add HD services to the account?
Also, you may need to go into the menu/Settings and help/settings/Display/preferences(?) and change the guide to show HD channels (might want to set it to show all channels until your sure you've got everything working)

Also, did you run thru the Repeat Sat Set up to change to the correct Dish in the settings ?
