What I'd like to know is why DirecTV doesn't seem to have these problems nearly as often as Dish Network? Whenever you hear something is coming to DirecTV (What I've been hearing thread) it seems like 90%+ of the time it happens. When you hear something is coming from Dish it seems like about half the time there is a problem that causes a delay.

Good point!!

Clearly, Dish has problems form the top down right now.
Communication seems to be the number one problem.

To quote Yoda "Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future."

This thread is exactly why I love SatelliteGuys.us... tasty tidbits, rumors, speculation, what if's, slaps on the face, slaps on the back... it gets no better. Scott and SatelliteGuys rule. It's why we are here.

From what I've noticed it seems Dish goes ahead with things but little snags get in the way. Yesterday we saw that people's receivers were accidentally picking up the MPEG4 SD channels and causing errors so they had to remove them all from the slates. Also remember the last time we were getting HD on a Wednesday it showed up on Friday.

Lastly TS is next week meaning that Dish knows they need to have something to show. Stating "we've added (6-8) channels of high definition television and we will be adding (10-12) channels in the near future."

Scott, you need to find sources that can accurately predict technical issues before they happen. The fact that what you tell us will happen, appears on the uplink report, and then due to technical issues may be changed or delayed, is not good enough, you need to tell us that issues will arise in testing so we know the whole story before it happens.

And then can you ask these same sources who will win the next 4 Super Bowls/World Series so i can get my bets placed?

LMAO

In addition the pamphlets showing the new stuff which will be given out at Team Summit have already been printed. ;)

It is up to the source of the information to protect their credibility. That credibility (or lack thereof) extends to those who distribute the information.

Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me.

Hey Scott love this site new pay member a few months back. I have a ? about D?? I have E now an love it, we will be moving into a new house end of june. The wife wants to go with D so we can bundle with qwest out here in PHX. My new house only has 1 line per room, an everyone says D will need 2 lines per box. Is this true?? I don't want any new holes in the new house. But if not still will be a happy E HD watcher.

I give my utmost respect and admiration to the work Scott does on this board and all the info provided.. I do not however believe we need to ban anyone for crying about anything, unless of course it gets derogatory, which is unacceptable by anyone.. One of the things I love about this board is the freedom to have an opinion and express it, debate it, etc.. If someone is just a ritual crier.. then we have the same freedom to ignore / disregard them.. to respond is to encourage their stupidity, to ignore is the higher ground.. and to delete, if abusive is OPs right as well..
JMHO..

BTW the IRS said they were going to deposit my stimulous package money by the 9th of May I guess its Another week of predictions, another week of the prediction NOT happening. Everyone is quick to say the IRS Scott was right but Bush DISH changed their plan. But one thing is for certain if money HD is predicted, it WON'T happen.
So can we PLEASE lay off the predictions for next week
