No satmex 6 on my pansat 3500sd list

Hi, I don't find satmex 6 on satellite list on my pansat 3500sd, do I need down load some stuff and how.

You may consider upgrading your receiver to an S2 capable model. You have found a mountain of good info here, so take your time and get a look around

Common problem with older receivers that came out before the satellite launched.
Couple of ways to remedy this:
1 - You can rename any satellite in its list. Then edit the transponders**
2 - Add the satellite and transponders**
** to match what's listed as active on TheList (link on the tops of the pages here) or at other listing sites.
Be aware that since that receivers introduction, a newer transmission type is often used that it will not get.
That being DVB-S2 - Digital Video Broadcast - Second Generation. It is only capable of the DVB transponders.
It also is only MPEG capable in the audio/video. No MPEG4 video, No AAC or MPEG4 audio capabilities.
That being said, programming those type transponders is a waste of time.
Menu- Installation - should get you 'in' to where changes to be made can be done (It's been a while since I played with my 3500 - IIRR the default password is 0000.)
EDIT: shouldn't really need to change the firmware it's running. Just edit as needed the programmed sat info.

Yes like Fat said you can rename at sat that is in the list or just add a new one with the name. Then enter the info needed.

Most of us use the orbital position rather than the satellite name as the position seldom changes, but the name could from week to week. I have NO idea where Satmex 6 is located, but If I read your question you got correct but incomplete answers. Oh, there it is 113W! Does you box have a listing for 113W? Either Ku or C band?

Tks for info, yes satmex is on 113w and I looking for channel BVN.
I get info from the manual to remane or add a satellite.

Yep, that 'channel' is on 113W. My S9 and MPEG Central says it's plain ol' mpeg so even my Panny3500* should get it.(if the dish is large enough, I got a 30 inch and S9 on it . Q ~50) Let us know 'how it goes'.
*my pansat 3500 is busy elsewhere.
