No Volume when turned on??

I've recently had an issue twice of no volume when I turn on my HDDVR. My entire system is only 5 months old. It did come on when I reset the DVR. Is there any advise out there???

i had a similar problem with my hd receiver connected to my tv through the hdmi cable. When I switched over to component, the problem went away and I didn't see a noticeable change in pq.

you could also try using another hdmi cable or using a different input on your tv, although neither solved the problem in my situation.

Try front panel reset and make sure you leave receiver off when its not in use.
