I just ordered my vip622 upgrade with the HD gold package. I have had Dish for 7 years now and have already taken advantage of the yearly prepay option which basically gave you a month for free. I was told today that the HD packages are only available on a month to month basis. So moving to the HD package with locals increases my bill by $187.
Previous (assuming price increase)
AT180 (54.99*11) + Locals (8.99 *12 ) = 712.77
HD Gold
HD Gold with Locals ( 74.99*12) = 899.98
Increase
899.98 - 712.77 = 187.11
Being able to prepay would have made the difference $112.12, less than $10 a month.
Just FYI, they soonest they were able to schedule the install as Feb 28.
