The crappy side is those just outside the OTA reach.

Similar to a point I made earlier, in these situations it would help if Dish would make full use of the Significantly Viewed List, since there may be other nearby affiliates (not owned by the same company that owns the in-market affiliate) that are considered Significantly Viewed in these fringe areas where in-market OTA reception is not available (and where OTA reception of the "Significantly Viewed" affiliate is iffy) but these out-of-market affiliates are not currently offered as part of the Dish local packages. Disputes like these are precisely why we need full implementation of the Significantly Viewed license wherever possible.

Well, since you have the OTA guide, you must already have an OTA adapter. Or were you checking the guide on a receiver other than the Wally?

Well, looks like we have lost The Smithsonian channel in the St Louis area but not CBS. How can that happen? St Louis isn't on the list.

The list was for local stations. National channels are removed nationally, regardless of market.

For damn sakes, this sucks. What are the other National channels removed? Is there a post someplace that has them all? Sorry, I haven't followed this thread too closely. Too pissed to look now.

Lost the POP channel too. It is our back up channel for the CBS soaps. I hope the hell we don't lose our CBS locals too are I will be in hot water.

Check the News Banner at the top of each page. To answer the question, CBSSN and Pop are the other channels besides Smithsonian that were removed.

Because YOUR CBS station in St.Louis is NOT owned by CBS; it's ONLY O&O CBS stations, NOT affiliates...

Exactly - the dispute involves all channels that are owned by CBS. Granted, people generally only think of 'local' channels when a company like CBS is involved but they own other channels too.

Some wrestling fans maybe. PoP carries a wrestling circuit. Not sure what else is on their schedule that is not also on elsewhere. PoP does not have a large following by any means.

Wife just yelled from other room "where'd Pop go?". She's been watching ER reruns. Pop is only place to watch that show.
