Ohio News Network to Cease Operation August 31..

I don't mean to pull out this old thread.. but I thought maybe folks here would be interested in knowing that a FTA favorite of the past [before it went fiber only], ONN is finally hanging up it's towl for good... August 31st the Ohio focused cable news network will sign off.. Dispatch reports that's due to changing ways of obtaining news.

One of my favorite channels when I first got into FTA a few years ago, it's beem off Satellite since 2010..Guess getting off Satellite didnt save enough money..

That sucks. We had ONN on our local cable system and i'd check out the local news broadcasts from other areas in Ohio once in awhile. To be honest though every local affiliate puts their newscasts online and that is more than likely what was the final nail in the coffin for ONN in the age of internet video.

I didn't watch ONN all that much but it sure was nice when there was something at 74W to lock onto.

I'm from the Cleveland area now a Michigan transplant, this was a nice way for me to keep up on Ohio news when it was on the sat.
I don't care much for watching tv on a computer so haven't seen it since. Too bad, they did a good job there.

Bummer they are leaving. They use to have college hockey and football on there once in awhile
And one of the weather girls was really cute too

Thats too bad. Always enjoyed Ohio news when i was in Canada on vacation. RIP ONN.
