well- i just realized they charge 10 dollars a month for the reg dvr and 10 a month for the HD DVR (according to csr)

so i guess there isnt much too loose...

now where would you suggest i get one of these componet cables?

That looks fine from the specs. Be aware though that all of these products are not made equal. I gave you the digitalconnection link because I know their products are reliable and won't be one of those that actually downgrade the signal. I do not know much at the brand listed and it may or may not work well. Best thing is to find a review of it. Do a google on it and see if you see positive reviews about it.

try www.pchcables.com if you just want to try the connection. The cables are dirt cheap so I'm slightly skeptical, they do deliver quickly though. no problems with the HDMI to DVI I bought last week.
