With a red recording light.I hope Charlie is getting us a new Super Hopper 4 with built in Plus
With the Hopper 3 having 16 tuners, there is no need for a red recording light. You keep seeing it here as a joke to one of our members who really misses that light 16 tuners or not.Yeah, I keep seeing that mentioned in the various Dish threads on here. I'm guessing Dish planned to include it in one of their new receivers but they just forgot? Or maybe it was something that was being beta tested a long time ago and was just never released to regular customers yet?
To me,16 tuners has nothing to do with the red recording lite. I liked the lite for a quick check to see if something is recording without having to use the remote control. Not a joke to me. I still miss it.With the Hopper 3 having 16 tuners, there is no need for a red recording light. You keep seeing it here as a joke to one of our members who really misses that light 16 tuners or not.

It is absolutely necessary to be able to see if something is recording when it should, since they can't provide accurate guide data!To me,16 tuners has nothing to do with the red recording lite. Cool. I wish dish made a custom one where the customer can make their own software for itDish made those for Channel Master, they also marketed their own line of DTVpal tuners and DTVpal DVRs that were only for receiving OTA.
I still have my original one with the beta softwareDish made those for Channel Master, they also marketed their own line of DTVpal tuners and DTVpal DVRs that were only for receiving OTA.
