Cool. I wish dish made a custom one where the customer can make their own software for it

Also how come there's eastern and western arc if its just the same channels? Or does 61.5 have extended programming

Dish made those for Channel Master, they also marketed their own line of DTVpal tuners and DTVpal DVRs that were only for receiving OTA.

Probably next month I'm going to get a bell expressvu receiver and see what free previews it can pick up just for fun. Should I get a 3100, 4100 or 6131

none. Their coverage barely comes into the US. If you were in Northern NY, MN, Washington etc you'd have some signal. But south of there nope

When I first set up my system I had trees in the front yard. I could not get a dish satellite but could pick up Bell with petty strong signals in south Pa .
