On ther rear of my LCD TV there is only one RF coax connector. Is it possible to combine the signal from analog cable and an OTA HD antenna. Currently, I use a switch to go from analog cable to OTA HD and the TV requires an auto scan with each switch from A to B.

Cable and OTA use many of the same frequencies. Combining the two will cuse problems.

If you buy one of the DVD recorders with an ATSC tuner, like this
Magnavox 80GB DVD Recorder w/ Digital Tuner - Wal-Mart
Then you could attach your antenna to the DVD recorder, then attach it via the video input jacks. You, would then select the tuner for your cable channels and line in for your antenna channels. With the recorder with the hard drive, it can record antenna channels to the hard disk while you watch your cable channels.

Thanks.. pretty much my plan was the same.. to add a component. I was trying to avoid this the added component as the LCD has a an incorporated DVD so the install is real clean.

WKMG are idiots.
