Just had 4 windows7 64 bit updates install last night. Now Outlook 2007 will not open. It tries and I see it for a sec and then it closes with an error message that it cannot open the window.

Have you tried control panel, uninstall programs and when the list comes up right click on Office 2007 and then change, use the repair option?

have you tried Saef Mode ? Start Outlook and keep CTRL pressed, this should start Outlook in safe mode.
Or you could try running SCANPST.EXE against the PST file

if it opens in safe but not regular, see what addins you have in the trust center, and turn off all of them , then add thme back in till you get the error.

Another option it to click on Start and then Run. Type outlook.exe /cleanprofile and click on Ok. If that doesn't work, try the same steps with /cleanviews.

Good luck!

Make sure that you do not have an earlier version installed. Outlook often will simply not run if there are different versions installed.

vurbano did you get it to open? The reason I ask is I am about to install W7 and I too have Office 07.
