Paducah is uplinked to 77W but not available yet..maybe in a week or so

That's a good sign. Do you know if they are going to keep them on 77W?

I'd need a wing dish to get them from there, or they'd have to change my arc if they are also willing to upgrade my SD duo-DVR (625)

thanks..

I **think** you can put a wing dish on a D1000.2 so you'd see
77
110
119
129

or they might switch you over to eastern arc completelly

I am hoping they do Evansville, IN locals at the same time. They also uplinked them to 77W. But like I've said before moving them to E14 spotbeam B14 would be perfect :D No wing dish please!

On Eastern Arc wouldn't I lose SD locals? I have one 625 in the mix right now and that wouldn't be so good.

maybe...

If you keep the existing setup and get a wing dish the 625 would get the locals in SD off 110 like you do now. The HD locals would be from 77W
If you go full EA they will upgrade the 625 to something different. The Big4 are in HD but the others are in SD on Eastern Arc
ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX in HD
My 49, TCT 27 and PBS in SD

So basically when they light them up, Dish will do what it takes to get me my locals in HD and SD. I'm assuming they'll tack a $15 truck roll fee on since I have the maintenance agreement and I also assume I'll end up having to call them 'cause they won't call me... :)

Maybe they'll move both Evansville and Paducah to E14 so we can stay on the WA without a wing dish.

You would think they would as most installs are on the WA. In fact, over here in the Carbondale/Herrin area, I think even the new installs are WA.

As another poster pointed out they were uplinked way back in 2009 along with Davenport IA. When you say maybe in a week or two, do you have reason to think that other than the fact that they are uplinked? I hope that Dish has been waiting for e14 and will now finally make them available there instead of 77w

I was wondering the same. Please share if you know something we don't ;)

I also hope thats why they never launched the locals. Moving them to E14 makes perfect sense.

no they weren't. I havent seen them uplinked ever in HD until recently

no reason other than they are uplinked. Usually once uplinked they are turned on with a couple weeks unless a technical glitch or major retrans disagreement with the owners

Only Evansville was uplinked on 11/4/09. Davenport & Paducah were delayed a few times.

I do not know why the delays. I wished that were located on the WA system instead of 77W. There are several posts regarding this subject. I hope this information helps.

Thanks Jansan, my bad. You're right they were uplinked in March this year. There have been several events that have raised our hopes over the last year or two of these locals coming available in HD and I mixed them up. They were announced on Charley Chat once last year. They were even shown on Dish's web site as coming available once last year. they have been uplinked on 77w since March 3 and I just don't understand the issue. Several times they made the release look immanent but it never happens. I'm really frustrated.

The Monroe / El Dorado HD channels were also uplinked on 3/3 completely out of the blue. However, there has never been any indication that they are about to become available. I've stopped holding my breath.
