Any input on what kind of paint I should (or should not) use on a 10ft unimesh dish? Its current factory paint job is wearing off in spots/getting powdery. Im just concerned that certain types of paint would affect signal reflection. I plan on using rustolium enamel flat black or glossy either or. Thanks

I used several cans of Rustoleum Black Semi-Gloss a couple of years ago to paint my Unimesh.

The paint has no effect whatsoever on signal reflection.

I've found these are excellent paints for dishes. :)

For the reflector: https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/painters-touch-ultra-cover-2x/matte (Item #249127 - Flat Black)

For all other parts (ring, mount, pole): https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/painters-touch-ultra-cover-2x/gloss (Item #249122 - Gloss Black)

P.S. Avoid using gloss paint on the reflector as it can direct sunlight into the lnbf.

Every 2-3 years I touch up my KTI with flat-black rattle cans. It's approaching 25 years now and holding up well.

I painted mine with Invisible Romulan Cloaking paint.

it no longer blocks our view...but I'm constantly driving in to it when I mow the yard. LOL :D
