My pansat 2700 is displaying a signal level reading of 99% (which is not true) and a signal quality of 0% on any sat. The thing is it´s giving this reading all the time, even with no lnb connected! I have installed several different bins, factory and otherwise. I even jtagged it but no luck either. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Could it be the coax jack thing or whatever it´s called? Is there some part which can be fixed or replaced? I know I could get another one on ebay for not much $$, but I would like to bring it back to life. Blame my mother, she always taught me not to waste anything!! Thanks!

Typical issue with the Pansat 2500/2700 and Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra (same manufacturer).
Most likely a failed power supply. Check for correct voltages on the AC supply ribbon cable. Probably will find two capacitors with popped tops on the power supply that can be easily replaced.
