Paramount Payout from Toshiba

Who Cares? So what if Toshiba paid Paramount and Dreamworks. This is not only old news, but it is also dead news. It affects nothing in business circles other then give the studios that were able to get payouts for either camp some money during a time when they needed a boost.

Guys, HD-DVD is GONE-- any discussion of the format is moot. Vurbano is still living in July of 2006 when the promise of HD-DVD was its brightest and that is okay, HD-DVD was a good format but now it is gone. In another year the only place you are going to get HD-DVD movies is E-Bay and those will be used. There will be no more pressing of HD-DVD product so why the diatribe?

What we should be doing is debating where BD is and where they need to go in order to improve the product and make it available to the masses for adoption. Player specs need to be formalized and enforced by the BDA and the price of the movies need to come down. That's what the discussion should be about now -- not a dead format that is now non-existant for retail.

I do not think you know what the F*ck you are talking about as usual since your first paragraph is what Ive been saying.

Didnt we already know there was a payout? Every deal on both sides had them. Or are you as one of the chief blublood trolls trying to get one last dig into HD DVD? I mean who the F&ck cares anymore?

Nope. Its as ridiculous as posting HD DVD vs BD sales figures.

Im not the one creating threads just to slam a dead format.

You seem to be the one living in the past, now grow up.
