was watching a recording half way threw ti popped up that the show was above my tv-14 rating was wondering if theres a way to disable it?

The parental controls can be removed, if it requires a password and you forgot it, DTV can reset the password on the receiver.

Or it could be your TV saying that. If your TV has a V-Chip you might have to adjust it with your tv remote.
