I cancelled it this morning. Will remain good until 12-1-2025. If there is a black friday deal again, then I'll renew it, otherwise don't need it.
Usually IF you wait until during the last week of your sub to cancel, there'll be a pop-up discounted offer. Not typically as good as the Black Friday deal, but a better offer than full price.

i get Paramount Plus via Sportsline, which is a backdoor way of getting the ad-free version for $50/year. I'm sure that loophole will close eventually, but as long as it exists, I'm going to use it!

I don't watch Peacock and only took it for the first year there was a Saved by the Bell reboot and after that show was over dropped it like a rock. Never went back. At this rate give me my Sling TV with my ota antenna + the $5.00 unlimited DVR feature and Tubi for free content and I'm good. Cord cutting has taught me to drop cable /satellite and now it is teaching me that rate hikes will keep on coming and to go with free stuff and my ota channels and Netflix and I am good.

i still like to hold the remote and have everything all in one place!!! if i want to watch something i'll buy the disc... as they have less control over it and can't take it away from me as easily as they can on a streaming platform

I use the Air Tv Anywhere - 4 tuner Dvr, with my antenna and it is all integrated in the Sling TV app. Record all 4 networks if I want. I use my Roku and the remote control and I can switch from that Sling TV app to the Netflix app or the Tubi app or Pluto all in one interface. I prefer Roku to the Fire stick, although I have both a Fire tv stick and Fire tvs in my house too. But like the solid feel of the Roku app and it is faster to me than the Firestick. The Firestick seems to run out of storage room too fast to me. Never had a problem with the Roku.

How does offair "integrate"? Just select the air tv on the tv?
It is added into your Sling TV GUIDE and you can access the channels from there and if recorded over the DVR portion of the Sling TV app. All in one. You have to add your ota channels into the app using the Sling TV app and then they are there when you want to watch them. Just like the Ota channels using the DISH satellite system.

Well, we reached our annual renewal point, and another year was going to be $109.99 for the Peacock Premium (more content, but with "minimal" Ads) so I went to cancel. When I did, I got a message that offered me another year of Peacock Premium at $39.99 for the year. "Sure," I says, "I can do that." Well, it evidently didn't take, and we were charged the $110, not the $40. So, I was on the On-Line chat with an agent, and they said they see our annual renewal at $109.99, no evidence that I was renewed at the lower rate. So, I cancelled. Hopefully, we see our CC get the $110 back in "7-10 working days".
😕

Now, we just wait to see if Comcast Universal NBC misses us and sends the same $40 offer as I saw before.

We had the $20 annual for 3 years. This year, got no offer at all. Zip, except for full price. I used a couple McDonalds game pieces to stretch it a couple months, but those expired now also, and the game is over so there's no more of those.

I can see the article headline now- "Tried to cut the cord and got a helluva shock".
We used Peacock to watch 'Days of our Lives' that went streaming only. Wife wanted it, and for $20 a year, why not. But IMO, Peacock is NOT worth more than maybe $30 a year at most. They really have very little that you can't find free elsewhere.

We might actually have to use the Hopper 3 OTA DVR features! We were watching some of the current NBC shows via the Peacock App. Everything is done for the season, so another reason to drop the Bird.

We picked it up a few years back to watch the Indy 500 on the road when it was still on NBC. This year it was on Fox, so another loss for Peacock…
