YouTube Premium + Peacock

That's crazy. They'd better honor the email I got yesterday which says:

"Your annual Peacock plan will auto-renew on 9/14/26 for 1 year at $169.99"

New prices go into effect today so I would guess it would auto renew at the new price of $199.99.

If you subscribe to Apple TV right now it is presently $12.99 per month but you can add Peacock Premium Plus to it at the combined price of $19.99 per month. Both services are in the process of hiking the prices but I would imagine it will still be cheaper than paying for them separately. Right now I pay $11.00 per month for Peacock Premium Plus which is cheaper per month than the annual price of Peacock Premium Plus which is $14.17 each month($169.99 / 12 = $14.17).

You can cancel Peacock now and your sub is good until the end of your billing period.

I also am an Apple One Premier subscriber. The cost of Apple One Premier is going up from $37.99 to $39.99 this month. Apple does not add the cost of Peacock Premium Plus onto that price. They bill it separately at $11. I have not gotten any notification that the price for Peacock is going to go up this month from either Peacock or Apple but I would not be shocked if it goes up to $12. I will find out on the bill next month I am sure.

Could always do the Wal-Mart + plan and get the ad versions of Peacock or Paramount Plus included

I just realized, $140 -> $200 is a ~43% increase...in one year. Completely ridiculous. That's worse than any cable/satellite increase I ever saw. I might need to talk to my wife about what we actually watch on Peacock before renewing.

Here is what I think is crazy - for satellite/cable TV, there are some states where it is law that all pricing changes need to be announced at least 30 days in advance before pricing changes go into effect. But for streaming, it can be changed within a day and no notice.

Peacock has way to many options ...
I would have thought Peacock Plus was the top line, but No, gotta add a Peacock Premium PLUS so they raise prices even higher.
