I can't endorse that conclusion as I have been looking for the problem since it was first reported and it only appeared on my receiver within the last month or two. Seems to me to be software related, that has propagated to all hardware.

Yup on both my Hopper and Hopper with Sling.

I am so use to it now I use it as a time signal.
