Plasma Transporting HELP?

I am going to pick up my new Plasma TV today and would like to know if i can lay it on its back or tilted or how can i transport it... I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and getting a 42" Philips Plasma TV. Help Please

I would borrow or rent a truck if it will not fit upright in the back of your SUV.
To much money to throw away if something went wrong.

I did that, and it didn't affect the TV at all. The TV dealer said it was fine to do that, but not to leave it on its side for too long. I just needed 20 minutes.
