I have an owned Wally and if there came a time that I decided to leave Dish I assume the OTA tuners would still work but how about the guide and the DVR? Would I get guide info for the OTA channels? Would the DVR still work? Could I still access the saved recordings? How about timers to record future OTA?

Guide probably will work but I believe the DVR functions are tied to the account. I'm guessing you paid a one-time fee to enable it?

Sorta, the fee was waved.

The DVR on my owned 211 in my camper doesn't work unless it's 'active'. The guide and OTA still work. I would assume a Wally would be the same.

Nah, I'm going to nicely ask the Lottery Commission to pick my numbers next week.

I "asked nicely" to several chat reps and got the answer that this is a standard fee that cannot be waived under any circumstances.

Maybe it works better over the phone?
